If you are looking for a family vacation this would be an excellent choice.  There are excellent beaches and facilities on this manmade island.  The Dubai Palm Jumeirah is very close to all facilities; located within a very close proximity to The Palm are the Shopping Malls, Supermarkets, Ski Resort, and other amenities. As expected, it’s a prime and premier location for visitors to Dubai.  If you are looking for hot nightlife the Marina district has a number of swanky bars and there are hotel bars close to the Jumeirah beach road.  The hotels on the Palm are all of the highest grade and quality being one of Dubai’s premium destinations, but that doesn’t always mean they are the most expensive.
