Dubai has an outstanding new four-star hotel in Al Manzil. Although views are currently of a construction site, when the work is completed, guests will be treated to vistas of the Burj Dubai – aka the tallest building in the world.
The decor of the rooms is contemporary Arabic and all rooms boast a unique – if unusual – open style bathroom with a rainfall shower and gigantic oval-shaped bath in which you can wallow like a hippo and watch a film on the rotating plasma TV. Days can be spent chilling out by the large, rectangular pool or taking advantage of the complimentary shuttle bus to both the beach and shopping malls. A 50-shop souk and number of restaurants are scheduled to open adjacent to the hotel, which may push the price up, but for now at least this is a gem of a hotel which represents fantastic value for money; no wonder it’s already got a loyal following.
