The village of Skoura is located in the land of the ancient civilization of the Dorians of Sparta, at the foothills of the mountains of Taygetos and Parnonas near the valley of Eurotas in Greece. For more than 3,000 years olive trees have been cultivated and nurtured in this region to yield the most precious and rare olive oil. Our ancestors have used this exceptional olive oil as a source of nourishment as well as of therapeutic and cosmetic remedies. In the region of Skoura, over 400,000 olive trees are cultivated using the traditional methods of our ancestors and without the use of artificial chemicals, pesticides and fertilizers. We carefully select and harvest the olives at the perfect point of ripeness which ensures a distinct taste, intricately subtle aroma and captivating finish. Our organic extra virgin olive oil is not filtered so it contains more nutrients and anti-oxidants. The oil is decanted in dark green bottles to minimize light transmission so that the premium quality is protected.
