Hotels in Yehi‘am

Yehi'am Fortress is located inside Kibbutz Yehi'am in the Western Galilee. The impressive castle was in fact a fortified farm, serving a farming Crusader settlement. The main structures of the castle that remained are from the days of the Bedouin Shaikh Daher Al Omar (18th century), who gained control over the whole Galilee at the time. Southeast of the main structure are traces, which were probably a Roman stronghold, and remnants of a Byzantine farm or monastery (4th-7th centuries BC).
